Quick History

When I first started www.transit-rider.com, it was going to be a mostly rail site. Rails systems get most of the attention and many people long for the "good old days" when [[insert rail system name]] took people everywhere. I have heard these story many times, but the fact of the matter is, we are right here right now. With few exceptions, buses provide the bulk, if not the entirety of public transporation in most urban areas. A balanced transit system often means having both bus and rail.
Buses range from small vans providing service in less crowed and rural areas, to huge 60 ft. articulateds which drivers skillfully navigate through dense urban areas. You will find all of these buses here from the double deck Neoplan to the increasingly rare GMC "New Look"
