Notes:
Rohr briefly owned Flxible but in 1978 sold Flxible to Grumman and left the transit business. Rohr also made rapid transit cars for Washington, DC

A Car

The A Cars are part of BART's original fleet. They have a wedge shaped cab on one end and can only be used as end units They can be attached to other cars on one end.


B Car

BART has some very wide comfortable chairs. The older cars are brown, the newer are blue

B cars have no cab what so ever and must be placed in the middle of a train. At Concord BART

B Cars are part of BART's original fleet. They have no cabs but can be attached to other cars on either end. This makes it difficult to shorten and lengthen trains depending on time of day or day of week
